Are you tired of eating the same thing day after day for breakfast? Do you find it to be a chore figuring out something healthy to eat first thing in the morning? Are you eating eggs so often they are starting to creep you out the more you think about what they actually are (they did with me lol!)? Or maybe you're just always really strapped for time in the morning and don't have the means to eat a nutritious breakfast before work, so you end up picking up something quick and cheap *cough mcdicks bfast sandwich cough cough*? Look no further because your problem is solved. Below is one of my all time favourite breakfast recipes (and my boyfriend sure doesn't mind them either!), that is trés nutritious, filling, delicious, and time savvy.
Behold the pomegranate overnight oats recipe.
-1/4 cup cooked quinoa
-1/4 cup uncooked steel cut oats
-1 tbsp hemp hearts
-1 tsp flax seeds
-1 tsp cocoa
-1/2 tsp cinnamon
-2 tbsp real maple syrup
-smal handful crushed walnuts
- 1 mashed banana
-1/2 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
-3 tbsp pomegranate seeds
Mix all the ingredients in a mason jar and put in the fridge overnight. Voila! healthy, nutrient packed and highly delicious breakfast ready to eat in or to take on the go to work.
